The beaches of North Cove and Grayland are famous for their productive razor clam beds. Clam digging on the beaches is a favorite activity for locals and visitors alike. There are many different types of clam digging equipment.

There are many great paddling and boating opportunities within Pacific County. The Willapa Water Trail stretches along pristine Willapa Bay, providing spectacular views of rocky beaches, majestic trees, and wildlife at play.

Local Murals

Mural on the Pacific County Historical Museum was painted by Robert McCausland in 1992 and depicts South Bend and the waterfront in 1911 right after construction.

Northwest Carriage Museum

Take a trip back in time at the new Northwest Carriage Museum on the Raymond waterfront. The museum features 38 turn-of-the-century antique carriages that will stir your imagination.


Pacific County Museum

The Pacific County Historical Society is a private-non-profit, educational organization devoted to preserving the history of the Willapa Bay region. The Society’s programs include the Pacific County Museum.


Willapa Seaport Museum

Visitors will find an astonishing myriad of marine artifacts, information, insight, and humor. The Museum ties together displays of memorabilia from the logging industry to shipbuilding.

Regional Historical Sites

The stately Pacific County Courthouse was built in 1911. The Courthouse was dubbed “The Gilded Palace of Extravagance” at the time due to its high costs.


Public Parks

With over 9 public parks featuring everything from hiking trails to ocean front driving, picnicking, and bicycling and kayaking, Willapa Harbor visitors are never at a loss for things to do.


Performing Arts

The Raymond Theatre is listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places. This 360-seat movie house, built-in 1928, has been restored and features.


Statues and Sculptures

Enchanting steel sculptures of wildlife and people enliven the Raymond scenery along Highway 101, State Route 6, and throughout downtown Raymond.  Take a walking tour along the Willapa Heritage Corridor and discover them all.
